RATE TOSHIA

INSTALLATION

Once you've downloaded the installation file on ThemeForest, Extract it and locate a file called toshia_v1.x.zip. You can install the theme by using one of two installation methods

Requirements

To use toshia, you must be running WordPress 4.7 or higher. We have tested it with Mac, Windows and Linux. Its feasibility has been tested on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 10+ as well.

Downloading Toshia

Download the toshia_full_package.zip file from themeforest.net and unzip it. In this zip file you have everything you need:

  1. Licensing
  2. toshia_Documentation.zip
  3. toshia_v1.x.zip
  4. toshia_online_documentation.html

The main theme zip file ( toshia_v1.x.zip ) you need to upload to your WordPress in order to install toshia. In this zip file, you will find the theme itself.

Note: Do not unzip file toshia_v1.x.zip. Do not upload the entire toshia_full_package.zip file you get from ThemeForest.

Install Toshia

WordPress upload - This is probably the simplest way for most users. Here are the steps you need to take

  • Login to WordPress Admin Panel
  • Go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Themes > Add New > upload theme
  • Click on "Choose File" and select toshia_v1.x.zip
  • Click on "Install Now"

FTP upload - If you wish to install via FTP, here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Using FTP client, login to the server where your WordPress website is hosted
  2. Using FTP client, navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory under your WordPress website's root directory.
  3. Using FTP client, upload the toshia directory to themes directory on remote server

Great!! Now you can start building your site!

toshia comes with a one click import module. To import one of our demo sites, please follow these steps:

  • Login to WordPress Admin.
  • Go into Admin Panel > Appearance > Theme Options > Demo Installation
  • Click on the Import Demo and wait for few minutes

Updating toshia

Manual Update

You can update your theme manually by performing the following steps:

  1. Download the latest theme zip file from ThemeForest
  2. Extract it and locate toshia_v1.x.zip
  3. Extract toshia.zip and locate the toshia folder
  4. Copy/Replace content of the toshia folder to the /wp-content/themes/toshia folder of your web site.

Activate toshia Theme

After theme installation, click on "Activate" here.

Install Plugins toshia Theme

If installation is successful, you'll see a notice about required plugins for toshia, to proceed, click "Begin installing plugins".

  1. Click on “Begin installing plugins”
  1. Check all plugins, select “Install” and click on “Apply”
  1. After installing plugins activate them.

Theme Option

toshia has an advanced Admin Panel for Theme Options, which gives you plenty of options and settings to customize your website.

Go to Appearance -> Theme Options and you will get toshia Admin Panel. All settings are organized in logical sections and have brief descriptions of what they do. A lot of these settings are self explanatory.

Things to remember:

  • Always click on “Save changes” in order to change your settings accordingly.

Please note: in order to ensure the correct working of theme options (saving your style changes) all caching plugins you may be using on your website should be better deactivated. After you are done with your changes you can activate this caching plugins again.

General

In this section, you can manage the following contents:

Theme color:

Different color schemes are available to change theme color according to your desire.

Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Generalfrom Admin Panel.

  • Here you can select any color scheme for your theme.
  • Click “Save Changes” button at the end in order to apply your desired color throughout the theme.

Google Setting

  • Enter google map API key here.

Custom Css Code

  • If you want to have some customized changings so you can write CSS code here and then click on "Save changes".

Header Setting

To set up the header area is one of the first things to do. This section contains the logo, menu, search bar, side area icon, and other optional widgets.

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and Under the General Settings tab click on Header Settings from the Admin Panel. The settings you define here will be the default settings for all pages on your site.

After these options get enabled, you will see Header Setting section.

Select Header Style

There are three different styles available in Toshia and you can choose any of these styles for your header.

In the header section, you can set:

  1. Logo: Here you can upload the logo of your theme.
  2. Top Bar: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the top bar.
  3. Show Custom Text: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the custom text.
  4. Enter the Custom text here: Here you can enter the custom text
  5. Show Social: To enable this option, click on Show tab and then select the desired social icon.
  6. Top Bar Menu: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the top bar menu.
  7. Select Menu:You can select menu by clicking on drop down box.
  8. Show Header Cart: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the header cart.
  9. Show Header Search: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the header search.

Responsive Header

Here, you can make your header responsive.

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and Under the General Settings tab, click on Responsive Header from the Admin Panel.

In this section you can set:

  1. Logo: Here you can upload the logo of your theme.
  2. Show Header Cart: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the header cart.
  3. Show Header Search: By enabling this option, you can show or hide the header search.

SMTP

Through SMTP you can ensure that your email will be send to the authorized recipient To set it up, go to Appearance>Theme Options> SMTP from Admin Panel.

By enabling this option, you can enter:

  1. SMTP host name
  2. SMTP port
  3. SMTP SSL
  4. SMTP authentication
  5. SMTP User name
  6. SMTP password

Click “Save Changes” button at the end in order to apply the changes throughout the theme.

Blog image cover style

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Blog Setting tab, click on "Blog image cover style" from the Admin Panel.

After enabling this section you can:

  • Post Author: In this option you can show or hide the post author name.If you want to show Post Author click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Date: In this option you can show or hide the post date.If you want to show Post Date click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Title: In this option you can show or hide the post title.If you want to show Post Title click on "Yes" button.
  • Enter the content limit: In this option you can enter the number of words to shown in content.
  • Read more: Here you can show or hide the ready more button.
  • Enter the Read more button title: Here you can enter the read more button title

Blog Grid Style

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Blog Setting tab, click on "Blog Grid Style" from the Admin Panel.

After enabling this section you can:

  • Select blog column: In this option, you can select columns for your blog.
  • Post Author: In this option you can show or hide the post author name.If you want to show Post Author click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Date: In this option you can show or hide the post date.If you want to show Post Date click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Title: In this option you can show or hide the post title.If you want to show Post Title click on "Yes" button.
  • Enter the content limit: In this option you can enter the number of words to shown in content.
  • Read more: Here you can show or hide the ready more button.
  • Enter the Read more button title: Here you can enter the read more button title.

Blog list style

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Blog Setting tab, click on "Blog list Style" from the Admin Panel.

After enabling this section you can:

  • Post Author: In this option you can show or hide the post author name.If you want to show Post Author click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Date: In this option you can show or hide the post date.If you want to show Post Date click on "Yes" button.
  • Post Title: In this option you can show or hide the post title.If you want to show Post Title click on "Yes" button.
  • Enter the content limit: In this option you can enter the number of words to shown in content.
  • Read more: Here you can show or hide the ready more button.
  • Enter the Read more button title: Here you can enter the read more button title

Single Post

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Blog Setting tab, click on "Single Post" from the Admin Panel.

This section has three sidebar layouts.Full width layout,right layout and left layout.

In this section:

  1. You can select sidebar layouts which you want.
  2. You can show or hide blog post date.
  3. You can show or hide blog post title.
  4. You can show or hide blog post author name.
  5. You can show or hide blog post comments counter.
  6. You can show or hide blog post shares.
  7. You can show or hide blog post categories.
  8. You can show or hide blog post tags.
  9. You can show or hide blog post author box.

Blog Template

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Template Settings tab, click on "Blog Template" from the Admin Panel.

Toshia offers 3 Blog layouts (Image Cover Style,Blog Grid Style,Blog List Style).

in this section you can set

Archive

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Template Settings tab, click on "Archive" from the Admin Panel.

In this section you can set:

Author

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Template Settings, tab, click on "Author" from the Admin Panel.

In this section you can set:

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Template Settings tab, click on "Tag" from the Admin Panel.

In this section you can set:

  1. Header Section: : In this option you can show or hide blog page header.if you want to show blog page header section click on "Yes" button and enter the header title and upload header background.
  2. Select Blog Layout: Here you can select blog layouts (Image cover Style, Blog Grid Style, Blog List Style)
  3. Sidebar Layout: In this option you can select the sidebar layout to all blog posts.

404

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Templates Settings tab, click on "404" from the Admin Panel.

  1. You can show or hide header section and enter header title and upload header background image.
  2. You can enter 404 text.
  3. You can enter 404 Bottom Text.
  4. You can enter 404 Bottom Description.

Language Uploader

Through this option, you can replace any word by another word in a file.

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and Language Uploader from the Admin Panel.

Here you can:

  1. Select language
  2. Upload language file through browsing

Dynamic Sidebar

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Dynamic Sidebar from the Admin Panel.

Here you can enter the dynamic sidebar names. You can add more than one name.

Body Styling

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Typography tab, click on "Body Styling" from the Admin Panel.

Here you can show or hide the body typography.In this section you can set body text style.

Headings Styling

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Typography tab click on "H1 Styling" from the Admin Panel.

Demo Importer

Toshia comes with a one click import module. To import one of our demo sites, please follow these steps:

  • Login to WordPress Admin.
  • Go into Admin Panel > Appearance > Theme Options > Demo Importer
  • Click on the Import Demo and wait for few minutes

Building Pages

To create a new page, go to Pages > Add New from the Admin Panel. In the text field near the top of the screen enter a title for your page. After you have added a title, choose the “Full width” template from the section on the right named "Page Attributes". This will allow you to add sections to your page that span across the whole width of the screen.

To start adding elements to your page, first make sure that you are in the backend editor. If the blue button on the top left says BACKEND EDITOR, click on it to enable the Visual Composer page builder view. Once you’re in the Visual Composer view, the blue button will say CLASSIC MODE. You can now click on “Add element” to start adding elements to your page. You can learn more about elements in the Custom Shortcodes section of this user guide.

Finally, click the "Publish" button in the upper right section of the page. (If you made some changes on already published page, "Update" button will appear.)

Blog Posts

To create a new blog post, go to Posts > Add New from the Admin Panel.

  1. Enter a title for your post in the text field near the top of the screen.
  2. On the right side of your screen, in the section called "Format", choose a format for your blog post.

Now it's time to categorize this post.

  1. Beneath the "Format" section you will see a section named "Categories". Here you can select the categories that you would like to add to this post.
  2. Once you've checked the categories you would like to add your post to, click the “Publish” button.
  3. Beneath the "Categories" section you will see the "Tags" and "Featured Image" sections. Here you can add tags to your post and set a featured image to be displayed for this post on blog list pages.

Publishing Blog List on a Page

Inserting blog lists in a page is very simple. Use Visual Composer and "Latest News" shortcodes.

Categories

Here you can define which post categories belong your post categories belongs your post. You can add new blog categories in Posts Categories or directly here in Categories panel by clicking on “Add New Category”

Testimonials

Testimonials are a great way to show potential clients what others are saying about your business.

To create a testimonial, go to Testimonials > Add New from the Admin Panel,. and enter a title for your testimonial in the text field near the top of the screen.

  1. Title: It is a testimonial’s title, which is used internally only for WordPress admin, for example in testimonial lists.
  2. Content: Here you can enter the quoted text or brief description concerning your testimonial. It will be displayed in your testimonial on page.
  3. Avatar: Here you can upload image of person.
  4. Designation: Here you can enter the designation.
  5. Revolution slider options: Here you can choose slide template

Visual Composer

Visual Composer is the best drag’n’drop visual editor for building pages, posts etc. in WordPress.

Please note, that Visual Composer inside toshia is optimised for this theme, so all content elements and shortcodes you have here are toshia-related. All toshia elements you will find in tab „toshia“ in Visual Composer:

To start creating new page layout you can choose whether to do it in backend or in frontend editor. We recommend to use Frontend Editor, because it is a real “What You See Is What You Get” way to build your pages. Click on “Front End Editor”

And you will be switched to Visual Composer Frontend Editor:

Here you might want to begin with adding a new content element by clicking on “Add element”. After that the overview of all content elements will be displayed.

Shortcodes

You can begin with adding a new content row in your page; choose “Row”. You will be switched to your page with added row element. Now you can edit its properties for example number of columns and layout.

WooCommerce

WooCommerce is an open source e-commerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for small to large-sized online merchants using WordPress. WooCommerce has been adopted by over 380,000 online retailers. Woocommerce lets users install a plugin on their WordPress site in order to turn that site into a professional e-commerce storefront.Toshia is fully compatible with WooCommerce and includes templates integration.

Woocommerce Settings

To set it up, go to "Run the setup wizard" from the dashboard. Woocommerce welcome page will appear. Click on the button "Let's go".

Now you will see the following pages:

  1. Page setup: Here you can see automatically created pages.
  2. Store locale: Here you can specify the location of your store. You can also specify the currency your store is currently using.
  3. Shipping & Tax: Here you can specify the shipping or sales taxes to the customers.
  4. Enter the Custom text here: Here you can enter the custom text
  5. Payments: In this section, you can mention your payment method, whether online or offline.
  6. Ready: This section shows that your store is ready and now you can create your first product.

Add Product in Woocommerce

Click on "Create your first product" Products page will appear.

  1. Product Name: Here you can write the title for your product.
  2. Product Description: In this section, you can write a brief description about your product.
  3. Regular price($): Mention the regular price for your product.
  4. Product Image: Here you can add image to your product.

Shop Setting

To set it up, go to Appearance>Theme Options> Woocommerce>Shop setting

In this section, you can:
