RATE Fix

INSTALLATION

Once you've downloaded the installation file on ThemeForest, Extract it and locate a file called Fix_v1.x.zip. You can install the theme by using one of two installation methods

Requirements

To use Fix, you must be running WordPress 4.7 or higher. We have tested it with Mac, Windows and Linux. Its feasibility has been tested on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 10+ as well.

Downloading Fix

Download the Fix_full_package.zip file from themeforest.net and unzip it. In this zip file you have everything you need:

  1. Licensing
  2. Fix_Documentation.zip
  3. Fix_v1.x.zip
  4. Fix_online_documentation.html

The main theme zip file ( Fix_v1.x.zip ) you need to upload to your WordPress in order to install Fix. In this zip file, you will find the theme itself.

Note: Do not unzip file Fix_v1.x.zip. Do not upload the entire Fix_full_package.zip file you get from ThemeForest.

INSTALL Fix

WordPress upload - This is probably the simplest way for most users. Here are the steps you need to take

  • Login to WordPress Admin
  • Go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Themes > Add New > upload theme
  • Click on "Choose File" and select Fix_v1.x.zip
  • Click on "Install Now"

FTP upload - If you wish to install via FTP, here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Using FTP client, login to the server where your WordPress website is hosted
  2. Using FTP client, navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory under your WordPress website's root directory.
  3. Using FTP client, upload the Fix directory to themes directory on remote server

Great!! Now you can start building your site!

Fix comes with a one click import module. To import one of our demo sites, please follow these steps:

  • Login to WordPress Admin.
  • Go into Admin Panel > Appearance > Theme Options > Demo Installation
  • Click on the Import Demo and wait for few minutes

Updating Fix

Manual Update

You can update your theme manually by performing the following steps:

  1. Download the latest theme zip file from ThemeForest
  2. Extract it and locate Fix_v1.x.zip
  3. Extract Fix.zip and locate the fix folder
  4. Copy/Replace content of the Fix folder to the /wp-content/themes/fix folder of your web site.

Activate Fix

After theme installation, click on "Activate" here.

Install Plugins

In order to get Fix work properly, you need to install some useful plugins. All these plugins are included in Fix, you don’t need to purchase them! After install plugins, activate them.

  1. Click on “Begin installing plugins”
  1. Check all plugins, select “Install” and click on “Apply”
  2. After installing plugins activate them.

Theme Option

Fix has an advanced Admin Panel for Theme Options, which gives you plenty of options and settings to customize your website.

Go to Appearance -> Theme Options and you will get Fix Admin Panel. All settings are organized in logical sections and have brief descriptions of what they do. A lot of these settings are self explanatory.

Things to remember:

  • Always click on “Save changes” in order to change your settings accordingly.

Please note: in order to ensure the correct working of theme options (saving your style changes) all caching plugins you may be using on your website should be better deactivated. After you are done with your changes you can activate this caching plugins again.

General

In this section you can manage color of your theme.

Color Scheme

  • Primary theme color
  • Here you can select primary color for your theme
  • To set it up, go to Appearance>Theme Options>Primary Theme Color from Admin Panel.
  • Secondary theme color
  • Here you can select secondary color for your theme
  • To set it up, go to Appearance>Theme Options>Secondary Theme Color from Admin Panel.

Theme RTL

  • Fix gives you option to change your website in any language which you want,and make your website flexible and easy to understand.Go to appearence>Theme options> click on General setting tab:
  • In general setting you can "on or off" theme RTL

Google Setting

  • Enter google map API key here

Header Setting

One of the first things you might want to do is to set up the header area. This section contains the logo, menu, top bar and other optional widgets. To set it up, go to Appearance >Theme Options and Under the General Settings tab click on Header Settings from the Admin Panel

Here, you can change the header according to available options

Select Header Style:

  1. Here you can select the header style for your theme.

To set it up, go to Appearance >Theme Options and Under the General Settings tab, click on Header Settings from the Admin Panel

  3. Show or hide Contact Number
  4. Enter the Contact Text
  5. Enter the Contact Number
  6. Show or hide Social Icons
  7. Enter the Social Media Text
  8. Show or hide Registration Menu

Contact Us

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Click on Contact Us menu.

  • You can enter the contact form description.
  • Enter the Email address.
  • Give the Google Map API Key.
  • Enter google map Latitude & Longitude.
  • Success message

Newsletter

Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Click on Newsletter menu

In this section you can enter

  • MailChimp API Key
  • MailChimp List ID

Blog Grid Style

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Click on Blog Settings and click Blog Grid Style tab.

Here you can:
  • Show or hide post date
  • Show or hide post title
  • Show or hide post comment
  • Show or hide post author

Single Post

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Click on Blog Settings and click Single Post tab.

Here you can:

  1. Select Sidebar Layout
  2. Select an item for sidebar
  3. Show or hide blog post date
  4. Show or hide blog post title
  5. Show or hide blog post author
  6. Show or hide blog post comments counter
  7. Show or hide blog post categories
  8. Show or hide blog post Tag’s
  9. Show or hide blog post share
  10. Select social shares

SMTP

Through SMTP you can ensure that your email will be send to the authorized recipient To set it up, go to Appearance>Theme Options> SMTP from Admin Panel.

Here you can enable or disable SMTP settings.

By enabling this option, you can enter:

  1. SMTP host name
  2. SMTP post
  3. SMTP SSL
  4. SMTP authentication
  5. SMTP User name
  6. SMTP password

Click “Save Changes” button at the end in order to apply the changes throughout the theme

Blog Template

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Template Settings and click Blog Template tab.

Here you can:

  1. Show or hide blog page header section
  2. Enter header title
  3. Upload or remove header background
  4. Set blog column
  5. Select side bar layout for all blog posts
  6. Show or hide page footer sponsors

Archive

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Template Settings and click Archive tab.

Here you can:

  1. Show or hide archive page header section
  2. Enter header title
  3. Upload or remove header background
  4. Set blog column
  5. Select side bar layout for all blog posts
  6. Enter primary widget area for sidebar

Author

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Template Settings and click Author tab.

Here you can:

Category

Go to Appearance > Theme Options >Template Settings and click 404 tab.

Body Styling

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Typography tab, click on "Body Styling" from the Admin Panel.

Here you can show or hide the body typography.In this section you can set body text style.

H1 Styling

To set it up, go to Appearance > Theme Options and under the Typography tab click on "H1 Styling" from the Admin Panel.

Here you can show or hide the heading typography.In this section you can style Heading 1

Building Pages

To create a new page, go to Pages > Add New from the Admin Panel. In the text field near the top of the screen enter a title for your page. After you have added a title, choose the “Full width” template from the section on the right named "Page Attributes". This will allow you to add sections to your page that span across the whole width of the screen.

To start adding elements to your page, first make sure that you are in the backend editor. If the blue button on the top left says BACKEND EDITOR, click on it to enable the Visual Composer page builder view. Once you’re in the Visual Composer view, the blue button will say CLASSIC MODE. You can now click on “Add element” to start adding elements to your page. You can learn more about elements in the Custom Shortcodes section of this user guide.

Finally, click the "Publish" button in the upper right section of the page. (If you made some changes on already published page, "Update" button will appear.)

Blog Posts

To create a new blog post, go to Posts > Add New from the Admin Panel.

  1. Enter a title for your post in the text field near the top of the screen.
  2. On the right side of your screen, in the section called "Format", choose a format for your blog post.

Now it's time to categorize this post.

  1. Beneath the "Format" section you will see a section named "Categories". Here you can select the categories that you would like to add to this post.
  2. Once you've checked the categories you would like to add your post to, click the “Publish” button.
  3. Beneath the "Categories" section you will see the "Tags" and "Featured Image" sections. Here you can add tags to your post and set a featured image to be displayed for this post on blog list pages.

Categories

Here you can define which post categories belong your post categories belongs your post. You can add new blog categories in Posts Categories or directly here in Categories panel by clicking on “Add New Category”

Inserting blog lists in a page is very simple. Use Visual Composer and "Latest News" shortcodes.

What Is Portfolio

Portfolios are very useful custom post types in Fix, aimed to create and to highlight special content, different to usual pages and posts. Portfolios can be used to publish / demonstrate:

Projects / Case Studies

Portfolio can help you to emphasize the results of your company’s activities in some projects or to inform your customers about the successfull stories / case studies you have gained with your business by providing your services:

  • You can describe, what kind of a project you have realized
  • You can insert image galleries with some project outtakes/results
  • You can add the project description, focusing on your skills and provided services
  • You can publish media content like videos, showing your customers the development of the project
  • You can introduce the development team, responsible for this project etc…

Projects / Case Studies

In the same way as projects and case studies you can use portfolios to highlight the products and services your company provides to customers. You can create the product descriptions (portfolio items) and structure it in different product groups / categories (portfolio sets), which then can be used in navigation or product filter. Media Content (videos, images)

Don’t waste time of your customers and show them what you can do – just with one click! Portfolios give you the possibility to publish different media types and make it accessible in attractive overviews. Layers with videos from youtube, vimeo, your own hosted videos or fullsize images in stylish lightboxes – all this can be done using different portfolio types.

Adding New Portfolio

To create a new portfolio item:

  • Go to Portfolio > Add new from the Admin Panel.
  • Enter a title for your portfolio item in the text field near the top of the page.
  • On the right side of the screen you will see a section named Portfolio Categories. Here you can select the categories that you would like to add to this post. If you would like to create a new category, click on the “+ Add New Category” link. A text field will appear in which you can enter a category name, and then click “Add New Category”.
  • Once you have checked the categories you would like to add to your post, click the “Publish” button.

Beneath the "Portfolio Categories" section are the "Featured Image" sections.In the "Featured Image" section, you can set an image to be displayed for this item on portfolio lists.

Now that you have set up your first portfolio item, let’s go over the available Additional fields for portfolio items.

  • Header section:here you can enable or disable the header section.
  • Portfolio single style:here you can choose sidebar for portfolio.
  • Project short description:here you can enter short description about profile.
  • Customer name:here you can enter customer name.
  • Live Demo:enter link of your live demo.
  • Category:enter category name.
  • Date:enter date.
  • Tag:enter tag.
  • Graph Description:here you can enter short description of graph and enter graph values which shows after graph.
  • Gallery:Add portfolio gallery.
  • FAQ:Add FAQ's.
  • Sponsors:Add sponsors.

Events

Adding new event

To create a new event:

  • Go to Events > Add new from the Admin Panel.
  • Enter a title for your event in the text field near the top of the page.

Beneath the "Publish" section is the "Featured Image" section. In the "Featured Image" section, you can set an image to be displayed for this item on portfolio lists.

Once you are done with your settings, click the ‘Publish’ button.

Now that you have set up your first event, let’s go over the available Additional fields for the events.

  • Header section: Here you can enable or disable the header section.
  • Post Sub Title: Here you can enter post sub title.
  • Sidebar Layout: Here you can choose the sidebar layout.
  • Page Footer Sponsors: Here you can enable or disable page footer sponsors.

Now set the event settings section

  • Event location: Enter location for your event.
  • Event Date and Time: Enter date and time for your event.
  • Event Organizer: Enter the organizer for your event.
  • Organizer avatar: Enter the avatar for the event organizer
  • Email Address: Enter email address
  • Button text: Enter here the button text
  • Button Link: Enter here the button link

Testimonials

Testimonials are a great way to show potential clients what others are saying about your business.

To create a testimonial, go to Testimonials > Add New from the Admin Panel, and enter a title for your testimonial in the text field near the top of the screen.

  • Title: It is a testimonial’s title, which is used internally only for wordpress admin, for example in testimonial lists.
  • Content: Here you can enter the quoted text or brief description concerning your testimonial. It will be displayed in your testimonial on page.
  • Avatar: Here you can upload image of person.
  • Designation: Here you can enter designation.

Team

To create a new staff:

  1. Go to Staff > Add new from the Admin Panel.
  2. Enter a name for the new member in the text field near the top of the page.

Beneath the "Publish" section is the "Featured Image" section. In the "Featured Image" section, you can set an image to be displayed for this item on portfolio lists.

Once you are done with your settings, click the ‘Publish’ button

Now that you have set up your first event, let’s go over the header settings section.

  • Header section: Here you can enable or disable the header section.

Now set the member details as well.

  • Specialty note: Enter the specialty note of the new staff member
  • Designation: Enter the designation
  • Email: Enter his/her email address
  • Contact Number: Enter contact number
  • Social Profile: Enter his social profile
  • Page footer Sponsors: Enable or disable page footer sponsors.

Publishing Team

Publishing Team On A Page

Inserting teams in a page is very simple. Use Visual Composer and "Our Team" shortcodes.

Visual Composer

Visual Composer is the best drag’n’drop visual editor for building pages, posts etc. in WordPress. To start creating new page layout you can choose whether to do it in backend or in frontend editor. We recommend to use Frontend Editor, because it is a real “What You See Is What You Get” way to build your pages. Click on “Front End Editor”

Please note, that Visual Composer inside Fix is optimised for this theme, so all content elements and shortcodes you have here are Fix-related. All Fix elements you will find in tab „Fix“ in Visual Composer:

To start creating new page layout you can choose whether to do it in backend or in frontend editor. We recommend to use Frontend Editor, because it is a real “What You See Is What You Get” way to build your pages. Click on “Front End Editor”

Here you might want to begin with adding a new content element by clicking on “Add element”. After that the overview of all content elements will be displayed.

Slider Revolution

From the Admin Panel, go to Revolution Slider> Create New Slider

  • Add the title and alias of your slider. Also place the shortcodes with them.
  • Click 'Save changes' after which you'll be redirected to the plugin's main admin page where you'll see your new slider listed.

Create a new slide

To create a new slide, hover your mouse over the “Add Slide” box.

Slider Setup

  • Choose the type of your slider
  • Load a settings preset template for your current slider
  • Choose the Slider Layout. By default “responsive” layout is choosed.

Slider Settings

  • Select the Slideshow
  • Set the default individual slide settings
  • Choosing the Alternative 1st Slide by entering slide's number.
  • Select the appearance of your slide and slider background
  • Select the default alignment for the slider. Options are “left”, “center” or “right”.
  • Choose whether to Show navigation element at all times or only show navigation element on mouse hover.
  • Choose vertical and horizontal navigation allignment
  • Set Custom Navigation Styles, navigation arrows, enable/disable touch navigation.
  • Set the Google fonts. To apply a Google Font to a Layer, first edit a content Layers for one of your slides and then select a Google Font from the Style Editor.

Individual Slide Settings

  • Select the background for your slide.
  • To use parallax option, first make sure “Enable Parallax/3D” is set to “ON” in the slider’s main parallax settings.
  • Set a thumbnail for the slide if your slider has thumbnail navigation.
  • Add a link to the entire slide by the options Enable/Disable.

Individual Slide Content

  • Select Text, HTML, images, video, buttons, icons & shapes to add new layer.
  • Choose predefined styles for your Layer Text, or save your current Layer's styles for later usage.

  • Adjust the Animation Timeline & Layer Sorting. Also adjust the Layer Animation Timing

Responsive Settings

  • Enable "Custom Grid Sizes" to create CSS Media Queries for your slider.
  • Make sure your content is always placed inside the Layers Grid canvas.
  • Adjust the Responsive ALIGNMENT to Grid or Slider based.
  • Adjust the Animation Timeline &:amp Layer Sorting. Also adjust the Layer Animation Timing
  • Choose when the layer should be visible such as per device, above a certain screen width, or on mouse hover.

Add Slider to Web Page

  • From the slider's main settings page, copy your slider's shortcode and then paste the slider's shortcode into your page's main content area
  • From the page's main content editor, select "Revolution Slider" icon to quickly access shortcodes
  • Select a slider and choose "Add Selected Slider" and then add it to Theme's Widget Area
  • If you have the Visual Composer plugin installed, click the "+" button to add a new element

Background Video

  • With Slider Revolution, you can add a video to a slide either as the Slide's Main Background or Content Layer
  • The video’s “Cover Image” will always be shown instead of the video

Video Layers

  • From 'Add layer', choose video to set video to your slide

General Information

Fix is compatible with WooCommerce, and includes design integration as well as custom shortcodes. WooCommerce is an external plugin. Fix documentation includes only basic information for installation and activation. The following links will take you to additional information for using WooCommerce.

Following plugin activation, you'll be able to use the WooCommerce Onboarding Wizard to take you through the steps to set up your store.

Shop Page

Fix supports all the default WooCommerce features for the Shop page, and features additional options as well. You can find the available settings for the Shop page in the Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop section and the Product Page Layout section.

Also, we have created these special widget areas (Appearance > Widgets) for the Shop page
